ZLGU to raise funds for Bumhudzo

WINGATE Park and Golf Club will host the Zimbabwe Ladies Golf Union Fundraising Golf Day on August 12.
The purpose of the golf day is to raise funds for Bumhudzo Old People’s home, which is in the dormitory town of Chitungwiza. The ZLGU public relations manager Evelyn Maisvoreva said the women’s golf body is appealing to all golfers for their involvement in any of the event that will see them giving back to the community.

“We urge golfers both men and women to come and take part in the fundraising event.
“The cost for a participating team is US$100, and US$25 per person if one is not in a team.
“This fee is inclusive of green fees and snacks at prize giving.

“As a corporate sponsor of a hole, you will pay a fee as well. Golf players and corporates cannot take advantage of the opportunity to display your corporate logo or banners

“As corporate sponsors of prizes, these can take the form of cash or donate goods for auction appropriate recognition will be given to your company at the event and at the cocktail party thereafter.

“If you are unable to play or sponsor a hole or a prize, companies can make a goodwill donation to the Bumhudzo Old People’s home.
“The convenors believe this is an excellent opportunity for you and your business partners to support the old while also enjoying your favourite sport.

“It is a great opportunity for networking, which you cannot afford to miss,” said Maisvoreva.
ZLGU is not new to fundraising events for the less privileged as they have given some wheelchairs to the disabled in Bulawayo, Mutare and Harare.
