ZOU partners LASOF

Another memorandum of agreement was signed between ZOU and Laying Sound Foundation Leadership Institution.
Speaking at the ceremony, ZOU Vice Chancellor Dr Primrose Kurasha said the collaboration would empower people through tailor-made short duration training programmes.

“The collaboration between LASOF Leadership Institute and SAAA will result in fundamental growth of critical areas like socio-economic, political and cultural dimensions,” she said.
“ZOU is there to serve the nation and it is not limited to academic degrees, but training from the grassroots levels.
“This partnership will expose learners to global trends and practices. Learners are scheduled for about three weeks training in Israel to expose them to international business trends.

“LASOF Leadership Institute will provide training in the Diploma in entrepreneurship and global business strategy and ZOU will provide the tuition.”
Dr Kurasha said that the partnership will help the three institutions to complement each other in running professional development training programmes.
“The collaboration will see the establishment of joint training and development of accounting professionals,” she said.

“It will also collaborate in the designing, development and implementing of accounting curricula and learning materials that are relevant to our commerce industry at the same time applicable to global business practices.”

LASOF Leadership Institute acting CEO Mr Emmanuel Chigu said the partners would work hard to ensure that they make a difference.
“Capacity building can be achieved when we build such synergies. We will ensure that the training we give is directly relevant and utilised right from the onset,” he said.
“When all of us give our best we reap positive growth and development.”
SAAA was represented by its director Mr Farai Machabana.
