ZPC Kariba virtually guaranteed their place in the Castle Lager Premiership with a draw against Bosso at Barbourfields yesterday.

It means Harare City have been relegated.

It also means Bulawayo City will also go down unless they win their last match with a scoreline in which they will score about 11 goals better than ZPC Kariba.

Stanley Ngala powered Bosso into the lead after 17 minutes with a powerful low effort from outside the box.

Three minutes later Bosso could have doubled their lead, but Archford Faira hit the woodwork after getting to the end of Adrian Silla’s cross.

The visitors equalised through Foster Dhemere in the 61st minute.

Bosso coach, Balmater Brito, was left disappointed with their failure to get three points in their last home game.

“Last Thursday we asked supporters to come in large numbers.

“They did come in good numbers. We wanted to give them victory to thank them for their support throughout the season, but we did not win.

“This is not the result we expected. This is football and we want to say sorry to our fans, we will try and win our last match,” said Brito.

ZPC Kariba coach, Darlington Dodo, was happy with the draw, saying it had boosted his side’s chances of survival.

“We knew Highlanders were playing at home and their ball retention is good.

“We knew they would keep the ball for longer periods and try to make us suffer.

“So, we wanted to repel them first and try and catch them on the counter.

“However, in certain areas we could not do it well,” said Dodo
