ZRP appeals for the location of four robbers who are terrorising communities in Harare

THE Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) is appealing for assistance in locating robbery suspects who are alleged to have committed a spate of robbery cases that were reported in Mabelreign and greater Harare since February 2026.

Harare Police Spokesperson Inspector Luckmore Chakanza said operations are underway to identify and apprehend the suspects.

“The suspects are believed to be four and are targeting churches, schools and private residences,” he said.

“The Police have obtained CCTV images of a prime suspect captured at the scene, which we are attaching for easy identification as we carry out these investigations. Members of the public are urged to assist in identifying this individual and his accomplices.”

Inspector Chakanza said the police have identified patrols and deployed additional resources in affected areas.

“The group uses violence to gain entry, subdue victims and steal cash and valuables. Some cases under investigation also involve sexual offences,” Inspector Chakanza added.

“Members of the public are urged to remain vigilant and have strengthened security and to avoid keeping large sums of money and report suspicious activity.”
