ZRP out to arrest high-flying Ngezi

Takudzwa Chitsiga Sports Reporter
ZRP FC are the latest team to try and stop high-riding Northern Region Division One side Ngezi Platinum when the two sides clash at Morris Depot this afternoon.

The police side have lost only once this season and meet an unbeaten Ngezi Platinum. Coach Clifton Kadurira and his men have so far beaten their main rivals, Black Rhinos, Gunners and Mushowani in a flying start to their campaign.

ZRP FC coach Arthur Tutani expects a tough battle.

“This is going to be a tough game and it is now up to us to stop Ngezi who are doing well and the boys are ready and there is a lot to fight for,” said Tutani.

“If they win they will have survived relegation on 32 points while we also want to do the same before the second part of the season. For the games played, we can’t read much into them as they are now history and we will give them a good run.

“Everyone is ready for the battle and I believe we are going to win the encounter.”

Kadurira said they were keeping their feet on the ground.

“We have not changed our resolutions as yet as anything can happen in football but we are ready for the game,” said Kadurira. “We have respect for them as they are a good side.”
