Police in Luveve suburb and Cowdray Park have pledged to strengthen community policing and improve public service delivery following the re-launch of the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) Client Service Charter at Chigumira Shops on Monday.

Officer in Charge of ZRP Luveve, Inspector Jonathan Matsunge, said police were committed to professional and community-centred policing, with residents set to be attended to within one minute at police stations and calls answered within three rings.

He warned against corruption and misconduct among officers, saying traffic policing should focus on road safety rather than revenue collection.

Insp Matsunge also urged residents to work closely with police through neighbourhood watch committees and crime liaison platforms to help curb crime in the area.
