ZSE extends losses

THE Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE)’s mainstream industrial index added to yesterday’s losses by retreating a further 1.53 to close at 147.89 points.

Telecoms giant Econet lost $0,0344 to close at $0,3056, while beverages giant Delta went further down by $0,0151 to close at $0,9351 while Proplastics down $0,00065 to close at $0,0401.

Other loses were in Innscor which lost $0,0025 to $0,5175, Padenga which decreased by $0,0008 to $0,1702 and FBC Holdings closed lower at $0,0800 after losing $0,0002. Barclays, Meikles, SeedCo and Unifreight all traded unchanged at previous price levels.

Gainers were led by Dairibord, which gained $0,0098 to close at $0,0600, Pearl added $0,0052 to $0,0340 as Nampak increased by $0,0030 to settle at $0,0220. Old Mutual advanced by $0,0020 to trade at $3,492 and Axia Corporation closed at $0,06510 after picking up a marginal $0,0001.

The industrials lost 1.50 compared to week ending December 9, 2016. The mining index closed the week higher at 59.30 after gaining 1.79 as RioZim gained $0,0230 to $0,3000. Week on week the mining index gained 3.78 (or 6, 81 percent). — BH24
