HUNDREDS of runners took to the streets of Bulawayo on Sunday morning at the third edition of the Zimbabwe School of Mines (ZSM).

The race, which starts and finishes at Khumalo Hockey Stadium, attracted participants from across Zimbabwe and beyond, all competing across four race categories: the 42.2km full marathon, 21.1km half marathon, 10km road race, and 5km fun run.

This marks the second year the event has featured a full marathon distance, following its upgrade in 2024 to commemorate the school’s 90th anniversary. First held in 2023 as a half marathon, the ZSM event has quickly established itself as a key fixture on the national road-running calendar.
