ZIMPAPERS’ television channel, ZTN Prime, will tomorrow host the 3rd Small and Medium Enterprises symposium in Harare.
It is aimed at strengthening bankable enterprises and fostering sustainable partnerships between small businesses and the financial sector.
The high-level symposium, to be held at the Harare Showground, comes at a time when SMEs are playing an increasingly strategic role in Zimbabwe’s economic transformation agenda under Vision 2030.
This year’s edition will focus on promoting investment-ready enterprises, encouraging business formalisation, and strengthening collaboration between SMEs and key financial service providers, including banks, insurance firms and development institutions. ZTN’s Head of Marketing, Mr Kenny Zihumo, said the platform has become a vital bridge between entrepreneurs and capital providers.
“The SME Symposium is not just an event, but a strategic engagement platform designed to consolidate bankable enterprises and foster sustainable partnerships between the financial services sector and SMEs,” said Mr Zihumo.
He said the initiative aligns with national efforts to formalise and professionalise small businesses and help them access structured financial support and insurance products, among others.
“This year’s edition of the symposium brings together financial institutions, insurance companies, policymakers, and development partners under one roof to foster meaningful dialogue, knowledge exchange and actionable partnerships,” Mr Zihumo said.
The symposium is expected to attract growing enterprises from across Zimbabwe seeking capital access, strategic collaborations, and mentorship.
Mr Zihumo said participating institutions stand to benefit immensely from direct engagement with a dynamic and expanding SME market.
“Participation offers a unique opportunity for organisations to engage directly with emerging enterprises, explore partnership opportunities and showcase products and services tailored specifically for the SME sector,” he said.
As Zimbabwe accelerates industrialisation and private sector-led growth, SMEs remain central to job creation, innovation and value addition.
Thus, the upcoming event is positioned as a premier strategic communications platform for brands seeking stakeholder engagement, visibility, and long-term partnerships in this critical sector.
And with strong media backing from ZTN Prime and the wider Zimpapers stable, the third edition of the symposium is expected to advance inclusive economic growth and delivering high-impact exposure for sponsors.
