Zvimba man in court for selling State land

The Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission has arrested Tsamwai Gwekwerere for selling State land.
Gwekwerere is charged with fraud as defined in Section 136 of the Criminal Law Codification and Reform Act.

Allegations against Gwekerere are that sometime in February 2024 he sold a piece of State land in Pemhiwa Village in Zvimba to Dr Maria Goss.

The piece of land is part of the grazing land for the Mariga community in Zvimba.

The accused is being detained at Chinhoyi Police Station and will appear at the Chinhoyi Magistrate Court today for initial remand.
