Zvimba man Jailed 20 years for raping minor

A 26-YEAR-OLD man from Zvimba has been sentenced to 20 years in prison by the Chinhoyi Magistrates for raping a minor.

The incident occurred on 4 February 2025 when the man attacked the minor on her way from school and raped her.
In a statement on X, the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ) said: “After the assault, the offender threatened the minor not to report the incident and ran away into a nearby Gumtree plantation. The girl went home and told her mother, who took her to Zvimba Police Station to file a report.”
