Cimas Health Group has unveiled the iGo Recipe Book, a new initiative aimed at encouraging healthy cooking and eating habits.
Speaking at the launch event, Cimas Chief Marketing Officer, Mrs Tatenda Madzikanda, highlighted the organisation’s commitment to fostering wellness and preventing non-communicable diseases through nutrition education.
“As the country’s largest private medical aid society and health service provider, we are proud to introduce this comprehensive guide for healthy cooking,” said Mrs Madzikanda.
“The iGo Recipe Book is designed for individuals eager to improve their diets and overall well-being with easy-to-follow, nutrient-rich recipes.”

Key features of the iGo Recipe Book
The recipe book, developed by nutrition and culinary arts experts, offers:
Step-by-step instructions for cooks of all levels.
Informative guides on nutrition and meal preparation.
Recipes tailored to prevent and manage conditions such as hypertension, high cholesterol, obesity, and diabetes.
The launch event included live demonstrations by chefs preparing featured recipes such as the Creamy Strawberry Smoothie, Baobab Smoothie, and Zucchini Brownies, with attendees sampling the creations.
Enhancing public health and nutrition
Mrs Madzikanda emphasised that the recipe book aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG3) – ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all.
By providing accessible resources, Cimas seeks to inspire healthier communities and reduce the prevalence of diseases like heart conditions, strokes, and kidney ailments.
“Incorporating these recipes into daily meals will empower individuals to make better dietary choices, supporting long-term health and well-being,” she said.

Expanding wellness initiatives
The iGo Recipe Book is part of the broader iGo wellness brand, launched in 2016 to promote preventive health and lifestyle changes.
Expanding on this vision, Cimas recently introduced a state-of-the-art mobile kitchen, equipped with modern culinary tools to deliver nutrition education and health-conscious cooking practices directly to communities.
“The mobile kitchen will play a central role in health awareness events and corporate wellness programs, making nutrition education more accessible,” Mrs Madzikanda said.
Additionally, a new iGo kitchen facility at the Vanpragh Centre will further support these efforts.
Empowering healthier lifestyles
Mrs Madzikanda concluded by urging Zimbabweans to embrace healthy eating and lifestyle choices.
“Eating right and exercising are key to a healthy lifestyle. This recipe book is a must-have, available in both digital and physical formats, to guide you in your culinary adventures. iGo equals wellness.”
