16 more Covid-19 cases recorded

SIXTEEN more people have tested positive to Covid-19 bringing the to 222 the number of cases in Zimbabwe.

The latest cases were all recorded among people who returned from South Africa.

 According to the Ministry of Health and Child Care, 11 of the cases were recorded in Matabeleland South, one in Harare and Midlands and Masvingo provinces each recorded two cases.

“As at June 3, 2020, Zimbabwe had 222 confirmed cases, including 29 recoveries and four deaths,” read the statement from the Ministry,” said the Ministry.

Covid-19 cases in Bulawayo remain at 20.

Four deaths have been recorded countrywide since the first case was reported on March 20.
