TWO people died, while nine others were injured near Mpudzi Rural Business Centre along the Mutare-Masvingo Highway after the vehicle they were travelling in lost control and overturned recently.
Manicaland provincial spokesperson Inspector Luxson Chananda confirmed the accident, saying the vehicle was carrying 11 passengers.
“Tendai Matume (33) was driving the vehicle when he lost control resulting in it overturning. Two people died and nine others were injured. The deceased is Diana Musa (60) and another unidentified woman,” said Inspector Chananda.
He encouraged motorists to be always cautious while driving, especially when carrying passengers.
