Monthly coal production to increase by 300 000t
Monthly coal production in Zimbabwe is set to reach one million tonnes this year up from about 300 000 tonnes per month last year, a cabinet minister said yesterday.
An increase in production by existing two coal miners and the anticipated coming on board of new players will spur the surge.
Bulawayo referees fail to make Fifa grade

FOR the second year running, there are no international Fifa referees from the country’s second largest city, Bulawayo, while the country as a whole has only five referees and eight assistants.
The five referees are made up of three males and two females while the assistants are made up of six men and two women.
Rudo Nhanhanga, one of the female assistants, is the only one flying the Bulawayo flag high.
