Man dies mysteriously at dumping site

IN an incident that has left residents of Runyararo West in Masvingo shell shocked, a 34-year-old man died at a dumping site where he was looking for scrap metal with his friends.
Masvingo provincial police spokesperson Inspector Tinaye Matake confirmed the incident that happened on Sunday at around 7pm and identified the deceased as Simbarashe Maxwell Mukarara of 21570 Garikai Street, Runyararo West.
Govt lifts ban on temporary teachers

The Government has lifted the ban on temporary teacher recruitment across the country in a bid to fill 13 000 vacant posts.
Deputy Minister of Education, Sport, Arts and Culture Lazarus Dokora yesterday confirmed the development saying the recruitment began last Friday. “We have a shortfall of between 12 000 and 13 000 teachers across the country, hence we have to recruit temporary teachers to offset the shortage,” he said.
