THE 2012 International Conference on African Women Development opened here on Wednesday with Vice President Joice Mujuru urging African women to take charge of their own destiny in order to improve themselves.

WHY do people kill?
Numerous answers, reasons and explanations may be given but it remains baffling why people commit murder.
Puzzling because it is hard to imagine how one human being can take the life of another — oblivious of the consequences — and allow their conscience to be numb of the importance of human life.

Stakeholders to negotiate new cotton producer price

THREE members of the National Youth Service who have been convicted of kidnapping and extortion have been remanded in custody to Monday for sentence.
Hardlife Ndlovu (29), of House Number 1111 Emakhandeni, Nqobani Mlilo (31), from 1987 Nkulumane 10 and his neighbour Mthunzi Mabhena (20), of 1986 Nkulumane 10 had pleaded not guilty, but were on Wednesday convicted by Bulawayo regional magistrate Mr Mark Dzira.
