Put people first: Nkomo urges chiefs

THE annual chiefs’ conference ended in Bulawayo yesterday with Vice-President John Nkomo urging chiefs to shun selfishness and always put people’s interests first.
VP Nkomo, who gave the closing speech for the three-day conference at the Large City Hall, said chiefs were respectable people in Zimbabwe who should lead by example in seeking to uplift the communities they live in as opposed to personal gain.
