FORGOTTEN Young Warriors midfielder Elasto Lungu-Kapowezha says he will target Zimbabwe soccer talent after his appointment as a technical and welfare manager at South Africa’s National First Division outfit FC AK.
As part of his duties, the son of former Warriors captain Ephert Lungu, will head the club’s developmental structure to which he has since roped in another Zimbabwean coach Steven Nhira, a former Zimbabwe Saints coach and Chronicle social team player.

IN a move meant to harness up and coming athletes, Matabeleland South Athletics Board will hold a Cadets Track and Field Championship at Phelandaba Stadium in Gwanda next month.

The athletics meeting, which is set for 19-20 May, will be for Under-15 athletes.

Phakamile Lisimati, the chairman of the Matabeleland South Athletics Board said the competition would be the first of its kind in Zimbabwe.

THE Bulawayo City Council lost approximately $600 000 in revenue between Monday and Thursday when its workers went on strike over outstanding salaries, the financial director, Mr Kimpton Ndimande, revealed yesterday.
