Star Brite heads for finale
Entertainment ReporterTHE national finals of the talent search show Star Brite will be held at the end of July or beginning of August during the school holidays, organisers have revealed.
Barney Mpariwa, the producer and director of the show, said this as contestants in the talent show went into boot camp where they received grooming tips ahead of the finals that will see the best in music, dance and other art genres being crowned and walking away with prizes.

President leaves for UN conference in Brazil

President Mugabe left Harare last night to attend the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20), which begins in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Wednesday.
He is expected to join other world leaders and other stakeholders in formulating strategies aimed at reducing poverty, advancing social equity and ensuring environmental protection.
The three-day interface is taking place in Rio de Janeiro to mark the 20th Anniversary of the 1992 UN Conference on Environment and Development held in the same city.
It also coincides with the 10th Anniversary of the 2002 World Summit on Sustainable Development in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The conference will home in on two central themes: “A green economy in the context of sustainable development (poverty eradication) and the institutional framework for sustainable development”.Marechera’s Shona writings!
