MDC-T in-fighting intensifies
Chronicle Correspondent
INTRA-party fighting within the MDC-T in Midlands South province continues to rear its ugly head with the Jatropha faction allegedly dumping its presumed leader, Mkoba Member of Parliament, Mr Amos Chibaya in preference of the more influential Public Service Minister, Mrs Lucia Matibenga.
Sources within the party alleged that the Jatropha faction wanted Mrs Matibenga to take over the leadership of the faction as they felt that she had “the political clout and intelligence” to counter Masowe faction leader, Mr Sessil Zvidzai whom they said was advancing his faction’s interests at national level.
They further alleged that Mr Chibaya was weak and lacked vision as a leader.Swimming season goes into high gear
