ZIMBABWE Tourism Authority (ZTA) and the Victoria Falls Green Fund (VFGF) have partnered the Vic Falls Carnival in a joint venture that will see more than 1 000 trees being planted in the resort town this festive season.
Vic Falls Carnival is the main attraction other than the mighty Victoria Falls Rainforest in Victoria Falls this festive season.
The resort town is a hive of activity, as South Africa’s singer, songwriter and poet Zahara and Oliver Mtukudzi are billed to perform at the Vic Falls Carnival, which will take place from 29 to 31 December.
Zahara and Tuku are also expected to plant a tree each.
In an interview yesterday, Mr Nhamo Chuma, of the VFGF secretariat said the 1 000 trees would be planted at designated sites in Victoria Falls on 30 December.
