THE Government should improve the conditions of service for the police in order to fully weed out corruption from the force, a Cabinet Minister said yesterday.

Addressing officers and guests at a pass-out parade at Ntabazinduna Police Training Depot, the Minister of Mines and Mining Development, Dr Obert Mpofu, said police officers were operating under strenuous conditions that tempted some of them to solicit for bribes.

He said the force was not getting adequate resources from Treasury.
