THE 2014 Chibuku Road To Fame winner, Issah Manzvimbo, is set to release his second album titled Hupenyu Ivhiri next week.
The first show will be in the capital at Eastpoint (formerly Jazz 105) on July 14 before he travels to Chinhoyi Gardens in Cold Stream.
In an interview with H-Metro, the Afro jazz crooner scoffed at reports he was a spent force after keeping a low profile for the greater part of the Covid-19-induced lockdown.
“I still have the mojo to conquer and express the talent in me.
“Every musician faces some challenges that might have people saying ‘wapera’ but that’s not it.
“It’s about circumstances we face in life and what is important is my ability to soldier on as is the case right now,” he said.
Manzvimbo, who fronts the youthful Attack Force Jazz Band, said he was determined to make an impression, despite facing numerous problems.
He was also upbeat he will make it to the top.
“I feel that I have matured enough from the songs I compose, even the people who listen and support my music, especially Boss Zino, Boss Chamex and Romeo Gasa,” said Manzvimbo.
He assured fans his album was pregnant with polished songs with no fillers.
These include Dai Baba Varivapenyu, Nhomba, Manyana Inyama, Sisi Mune Lucky, Chembere Dzekwedu, Hupenyu Ivhiri, Regererai Amai Baba, Ndiri Muvhimi, Abby Iwe and two bonus tracks.
