No going back on austerity measures: ED

President Mnangagwa says Zimbabwe will undergo a “painful” reform process to achieve transformation and modernisation of the economy. Government is already implementing austerity measures and in an article published in the influential British publication, the Financial Times yesterday, President Mnangagwa said Zimbabwe would not back down from taking tough decisions.

Cabinet approves $5,3bn projects

Cabinet has approved the implementation 11 investment projects worth $5,3 billion, Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister Monica Mutsvangwa has said. Briefing the media after yesterday’s Cabinet meeting, Minister Mutsvangwa said work on the projects — which cut across various economic sectors — should begin immediately.

Agric beneficiation hub on cards
