Nyagura to leave UZ: Council

SUSPENDED University of Zimbabwe (UZ) Vice Chancellor Professor Levi Nyagura is set to leave the institution at the end of this year and the hunt for his successor has already started.Prof Nyagura is embroiled in a legal battle following accusations that he illegally awarded former First Lady Grace Mugabe a PhD. In an interview, UZ Council chairman Dr Anxious Masuka confirmed that Prof Nyagura was expected to leave the institution at the end of the year when his contract expires.

President appoints 15 new ambassadors

President Mnangagwa has appointed 15 new ambassadors drawn from different sectors to replace those who have died, been recalled or retired. The list of the ambassadors-designate includes five service chiefs, who were recently retired from the Zimbabwe Defence Forces (ZDF), to take up diplomatic posts.

Chiadzwa diamond heist: Pair arrested

State seeks to rescind Supa’s acquittal

The State is seeking to petition the High Court for a rescission of the judgment acquitting former minister Supa Mandiwanzira of criminal abuse of office charges that was delivered on Wednesday.
