‘ZDF to continue fulfilling mandate’

The Zimbabwe Defence Forces (ZDF) will continue discharging its duties effectively and fulfil its mandate in line with the dictates of the Constitution to create an enabling environment for economic development.

Setting the Record Straight

The Herald on 30 May 2019 reported that Kwekwe residents had rejected the City Council’s supplementary budget in an article headlined, “Kwekwe Residents Reject Supplementary budget”. The correct position, as clarified by Mr. Alex Homela, who is the Secretary General of the Kwekwe Residents and Ratepayers Association, is that the residents association never rejected the budget and that instead, they were in dialogue with the City Council and made recommendations on how to improve the budget. Mr. Homela also states that he did not make the comments attributed to him in the article.
