This is the first case of cholera to be reported this year.

She said there were enough drug stocks and aqua tablets in the affected areas.

“Teams are on the ground for surveillance and our partners are assisting us in managing the issue of water and sanitation,” Dr Manangazira said.

She said another case was also reported in Chiredzi.
