30 Junior councillors inaugurated in Mvurwi

MVURWI – Thirty Mvurwi Junior councillors were inaugurated at a ceremony hosted recently by senior councillors from the town. The ceremony also saw the Junior Mayor, deputy and their seven executive members taking oath of office that was coordinated by a local pastor. The inauguration which took place from morning till noon was also graced by parents, officials from NANGO, the Chinhoyi Deputy Mayor and Mvurwi Mayor Honourable Chigodora who urged the incoming councillors to uphold their duties for the 2015-2016 period with utmost faith.

National Junior Councillors President Shingirai Chikazhe also took time to urge fellow councillors to work hard and not only to enjoy the benefits but to look for means to develop the town from a child’s perspective.

The outgoing executive were given certificates of service that were presented by the mayor.
