4 in court over 900kg dagga

Four Chitungwiza men who were caught with 900kgs of dagga in Chipinge recently have been hauled the courts for possessing dangerous drugs as well as breaking curfew regulations.

The quartet Runozivei Austin (38), Langton Tatenda (24), Langton Itai (22) and Bero David (52) appeared before Mr Poterai Gwezhira who remanded them in custody to February 26.

Mr Timothy Katsande told the court that the suspects were nabbed last Thursday along Mwangazi-Rimbi Road by detectives who searched their vehicle and discovered 26 sacks loaded with dagga. The cops had received a tip-off.
