Girl killed in ox-cart accident

An 8-year-old Odzi girl from Chikundu Village died after an ox drawn cart she was riding in with her siblings overturned.

Manicaland police spokesperson Inspector Luckson Chananda confirmed the incident saying Natasha (12) Tinotenda (3), Gilbert (3) and the deceased Anesu Muchena were in the scotch cart when it overturned after hitting a sand pole.

It hit Anesu on the head who died on the spot.

Insp Chananda said the deceased’s father, Musa, took her body to Victoria Chitepo Provincial Hospital for post mortem.
