Manicaland has made strides in the fight against HIV, amid indications that the prevalence rate has declined by 11 percent.

This has been attributed to awareness campaigns and access to treatment.

National Aids Council Manicaland provincial manager, Mr Evos Makoni, said plans were on course to conduct more awareness campaigns targeting key and vulnerable populations in Mutare and Chipinge which remain hotspots.
