Have you ever walked into a restaurant hungry and eager to be satisfied, only to be met with disappointment?
Perhaps the service was slow, the food was cold or the atmosphere was unwelcoming.
But what if I told you there is a restaurant that offers more than just a meal? This is a place where you can find restoration, renewal and satisfaction for your soul; it is the restaurant of restoration.
In Joel 2:25, we read: “I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten . . .”
This is God’s promise to repay us for what has been lost or taken away. I believe this restoration is available to us today, at the table of God’s presence.
So, what is on the menu at this restaurant of restoration?
Forgiveness: Leave your guilt and shame at the door and have a fresh start.
Healing: Bring your brokenness and receive wholeness and restoration.
Hope: Trade in your despair and receive a renewed sense of purpose.
But it is not just about the food; it is about the atmosphere.
At this restaurant, you will find:
Love: A warm and welcoming environment, where you are valued and cherished.
Acceptance: A place where you can come as you are, without fear of judgement.
Joy: An atmosphere of celebration, where you can find joy and laughter.
But who serves at this restaurant of restoration? Not just the pastors or church leaders but every believer who has experienced the restoration of God.
We are all waiting staff, called to serve and share the message of restoration with others. We are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus, to bring hope and healing to a broken world. When we go to a restaurant, most of us are concerned about the cost of the meal. But what is the cost of this meal?
It is not something that can be bought or earned. The cost of this meal is faith. It is trusting in God’s promise of restoration and receiving it by faith. So, I invite you today to the restaurant of restoration.
Do not come because you are perfect or you have it all together. Come because you are hungry and you need a meal that will satisfy your soul.
Come and experience the restoration that only God can offer.
So, if you are hungry for more than just a meal, come to the restaurant of restoration. Leave your emptiness at the door and enjoy a feast of forgiveness, healing, hope, love, acceptance and joy.
Prayer
Dear heavenly Father, we come to you today, hungry and thirsty for restoration. We ask you to meet us at the table, where you will feed us with the bread of life.
We pray that you will restore us, renew us and satisfy us with your presence. We ask that you use us to serve others, bringing hope and healing to a broken world.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
