AWARD-WINNING music producer, Simbarashe “Cymplex” Moyo, says he enjoys working with Zimdancehall star Freeman.

Cymplex Music produced a number of Freeman’s hit songs, including Zimbabwean Queen.

Speaking to H-Metro, Cymplex said he is privileged to be working with Freeman.

“I feel overwhelmed and ecstatic at the same time.

“I think what made us produce many good songs is that he understands my sound the same way I understand his melodies.

“So, working on a good song is made easier, and sometimes, he just says make a beat even if he is home or on tour.

“And, when he comes to the studio, he will not take time.”

He added, “We have that brotherly working relationship beyond studio time. He mentors me in many ways and advises me on a lot of things.”

The two started working together in 2017.

“Every time we are in the studio, it feels like magic,” said Cymplex.

Asked which of Freeman’s hits he produced, he said: “I have produced a number of songs for Freeman that became hits.

“Some of these include Wekwedu, Gango, Pombi and Zimbabwean Queen, just to mention a few.”

Cymplex has also worked with other musicians.

“Apart from Freeman, I have worked with other artists in the industry such as Seh Calaz, Baba Harare, Mathias Mhere, Enzo Ishall and Killer T,” he told H-Metro.
