The Affirmative Action Group, black empowerment lobby group has welcomed the appointment of senior minister Cde Simon Khaya Moyo and the new cabinet.
In a statement, the AAG said Government should immediately come up with solutions to resuscitate industry.

“The Zanu-PF Government ushered into office on the back of their successful indigenisation and empowerment campaign and they should quickly come up with practical solutions on how to resuscitate our ailing industry,” AAG national president Dr Keith Guzah said.

“Business are operating at an all time low due to various economic factors chief among them being the illegal sanctions imposed on us at the instance of Morgan Tsvangirai and the MDC.”

Dr Guzah said the stress in industry was also largely to the failure by banks and financial institutions to support industry and buttress Governments initiatives.

“We urge the new minister of Youth, Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment to seriously consider the plight of the small to medium businesses and the need for an urgent stakeholder meeting to discuss ideas and forge a way forward for the development of the country,” he said.
