CITY of Mutare and Mutare Rural District Council represented Manicland with distinction after being the recipients of awards during the signing of performance contracts and awards ceremony for ministers and senior public sector officials held at State House in Harare this morning.
Mutare Town Clerk Mr Blessing Chafesuka, city mayor Councillor Simon Chabuka and Mutare RDC chairman Councillor Hopewell Muzaeni all walked away with accolades in their respective categories.
President Mnangagwa presided at the event.
The ceremony reiterates Government’s commitment to efficiency, accountability and transparency to drive the attainment of Vision 2030.
For the first time, deputy ministers, commissioners and deputy chief secretaries will also sign performance contracts, thereby expanding the accountability framework introduced in 2021.
