Acting President consoles Nyandoro family

Acting President Mujuru said life had not been the same for Rtd Major Nyandoro since the passing on of his wife a few months after the wedding anniversary.

She said the Nyandoro family should find solace in that “his, was a life well lived”.
“He always spoke his mind even when the church was divided along racial lines. Major Nyandoro was one of those officers who was known to speak out against such divisions,” she said.

Rtd Major Nyandoro was born in 1924 and served at several centres including Howard, Harare Citadel, Bulawayo and Kwekwe.

Among his notable contributions to the Salvation Army was the advocacy for and subsequent popularisation of hosho in the church.

He is survived by one son, five daughters and 45 grandchildren and great grandchildren.
