Africa: Confirmed Cases of Covid-19 Exceed 7,5 Million Across Continent

Cape Town — As of August 24, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached 7,555,183 while over 60,059,474 vaccinations have been administered across the continent.

Reported deaths in Africa reached 189,803 and 6,662,562 people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases 2,698,605 and 79,584 people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco (813,945), Tunisia (642,788), Ethiopia (296,731), Libya (296,879) Egypt (286,541) and Kenya (229,628).
