THE 4th Annual SheMillionaire African Women Wealth Builders Awards are set to take centre stage on November 8, 2025, in Johannesburg, South Africa, celebrating women who are breaking barriers and building financial independence across Africa.

Hosted by founder Dr Mandy Sigauke, the event will run under the theme “Empower a Woman,” highlighting the economic contributions and transformative leadership of women across the continent.

Dr Sigauke said the awards were more than just a celebration but are a call to action for women to take control of their financial destinies.

“I want to see women equipped and financially independent,” she said. “These awards are not just a celebration; they are a call to action. By highlighting the achievements of African women, we inspire the next generation to take control of their financial destinies.”

The awards, which have evolved into one of Africa’s most empowering platforms, are expected to attract top business leaders, policymakers and entrepreneurs from around the world.

Among the eight distinguished speakers lined up for the 2025 edition are Zimbabwean businesswoman Zodwa Mkandla, Dr Marsha Gabriel, the Ambassador of Ethiopia in South Africa, and Dr Nervine Nakhla, CEO of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

Other speakers include Bea Hackula, President for Africa of Africa Women in South Africa; Mariam Lesian, President of the Pan African Tourism Board; South African actress Lunathi Mampofu; and Dr Mmereka Patience Ntshani.

This year’s event has attracted delegates from various African countries, as well as representatives from Australia and the United Kingdom, reflecting the global reach and resonance of SheMillionaire’s mission.

Beyond recognition, SheMillionaire continues to drive tangible change through its educational initiatives. Its Wealth Building and Training Academy has already awarded 100 bursaries to young women pursuing economic empowerment.

In an inspiring twist, all 2025 honourees will be encouraged to sponsor a student through a bursary, ensuring that the next generation of women gain access to financial literacy, entrepreneurship training and mentorship opportunities.
