THE Kingdom of Eswatini is set to come alive with a carnival atmosphere this Saturday as the “Eswatini Farmers Market” returns for its third edition at Malkerns Country Club in the town of Malkerns.
This year’s event promises a vibrant celebration of culture and community, headlined by a stellar line-up of South African artistes, including Murumba Pitch, Culoe De Song, Russel Zuma, Nobuhle, BabyFace Womdantso, Dancing with Busisiwe, Dudu RSA, Ayany, and Bulawayo’s Afro-soul sensation, MJ Sings.
Eswatini’s very own BMC Dancers, Knoxman, The Bishops, Trend Twins, Stella Jacobs, Bay Bash, Notik, and Mvutjini Crew will also perform.
In an interview, MJ Sings expressed his excitement about being part of this iconic event.
“It’s quite an honour to perform, not only representing Zimbabwe but also sharing our music and culture,” he said.
MJ Sings is particularly eager to share the stage with some of Africa’s finest talents.
“My goal is to showcase Zimbabwean music, connect with other artistes, and hopefully build lasting collaborations,” he said.

MJ Sings’ passion for showcasing Zimbabwean culture through music aligns perfectly with the event’s theme, “Africa Unite” which aims to foster unity and collaboration among African nations.
Reflecting on the theme, MJ Sings added, “There’s never been a better time for Africa. From music to culture, Africa is winning, and this is the perfect platform to celebrate our success.”
MJ Sings’ career trajectory has been impressive. Recently featured in Trevor Mawaka’s book, Curating Bulawayo’s Music Space – Conversations Over Coffee, he described the experience as humbling.
“It was a privilege to share my story and thoughts on Zimbabwe’s music industry, contributing to a legacy for future generations,” he said.
As fans eagerly await new music, MJ Sings assured them, “Art takes time, and I’m a perfectionist. I’ve been working on new music and building its release strategy. I know I’ve kept my fans waiting, but it will be worth it.”
Last year, MJ Sings released two singles, Heaven in You and Sebenza, along with the Shebeleza EP in collaboration with UK-based M. Patrick.
Event director Mbekezeli ‘Culolam’ Dlamini said the Farmers Market is a platform for connection and celebration.
“I’m thrilled to announce the return of the Eswatini Farmers Market, and I can assure you that this year’s event will surpass all expectations. With a focus on community through music and culture, the event promises excitement and unforgettable moments,” Dlamini said. – Follow on X @MbuleloMpofu
