AFRO-JAZZ musician Alexio Kawara who recently turned 36 has hailed fans for their unwavering support.
The Shaina hit-maker who celebrated his birthday with fans in Harare as a way of thanking and giving back said he was overwhelmed with the way his fans had stood by him throughout his career spanning 15 years.
“I owe everything to my fans. My success in the music industry is because of them. They’re the reason I’m still here as a musician. For this reason I decided to celebrate my 36th birthday and 15 years in the music industry with them,” Kawara said.
He said fans had seen him grow from when he was an urban grooves artiste to his evolution to afro-jazz.
The musician who fronts Shades of Black is working on his fourth album Oyi which he hopes to release early next year. He has already released one single from the album titled Zvazvinhu.
Some of the songs off the upcoming album are Chakaipa which features Roki and Zvazvinhu which features Beitbridge-based LT. Both tracks have been warmly received at his live shows. Another song, Nehana is a potential hit.
