Afro jazz crooner, Alexio Kawara, is set to release a new album later this year. The “Shaina” hitmaker made the announcement during his performance at a fully-packed Book Cafe over the weekend where he gave a sterling performance. “I am going to release my forth album sometime in December. “I have been focusing on singles for some reasons and they have been doing well.

“This is a dedication to my fans and I appreciate their unwavering support since I got into the music industry,” he said.
He belted out some of his hits including “Shaina”, “Karwiyo Aka”, “Zvazvinhu”, “Chibvugubvugu” among others. He later sampled some tracks off the upcoming album titled “Chakaipa,” which features Roki and it was received by wild cheers from the crowd.

Kawara’s managed to keep the patrons on their feet throughout the night with some of his fans joining him on stage, making the night a memorable one.
It was when he played some songs from legendary musicians like James Chimombe, Leonard Dembo and Thomas Mapfumo that revellers went into ecstasy as they danced like it was the last day on earth.

Kawara went on stage after it was warmed by Evans Mapfumo and Kia Africa Band, a rising Afro jazz group who proved that given the opportunity they can be a force to reckon within the industry.
