All-female band storms Mutare

Club Mandisa

AN all-female musical group, Vedu, storms the entertainment joint situated at the heart of Mutare for the first time. The seven-member band that specializes in afro pop music says they will perform a blend of cover songs and own compositions such as ‘Pandaikuda’, ‘Chikende’, ‘Vedu vemagitare’ and ‘Wotoshinga’.

 

The group, formed in 2017, will perform tonight (Friday) and tomorrow. The shows start at 8pm.

Chitsa Bar and Grill

The Tawanda Chitsa-owned joint located in Dangamvura will on Sunday host afro jazz outfit, Expressions Band.

 

The show starts at 5pm.

 

The band which is proving popular everytime they perform at the spacious venue will sample new songs from their forthcoming project scheduled for release before end of year.

Micasa

Revellers enjoy an assortment of music, new and classic, thanks to DJs Frazer and Terminator.

 

The festivities start today.

 

Patrons enjoy the music and sumptuous traditional foods while watching their favourite English Premier League (EPL) soccer teams playing.

 

Jazz sensation, Steve Chikotie takes over on Sunday for the jazz night.

Dhunza Bar

Talented youthful DJs Lion, Stixx and Rumbledon headline this weekend’s Summer Groove session which starts tonight till Sunday.

 

The three who are all specialists in old and new school music will take turns to entertain revellers who will be treated to sumptuous braai and offals.

Madziro

Veteran DJ Candyman, fondly known as Retro Don, headlines Saturday’s festivities dubbed ‘Weekend Retreat’ where revellers across all ages, including children, gather and enjoy some music, braai and assorted beverages.

 

Jumping castles and face painting for children will also be available. The event starts at 12 noon till the last man drops.

Amaru Bar/Tavern Neighbourhood

The recently-opened joint situated in Dangamvura will tomorrow host a local dance group.

 

The show starts at 2pm till late.

 

Selected local DJs will also perform from tonight till Sunday.

 

Pool players and other imbibers are treated to free offals on Sunday.

Acid Bar

Youthful DJ Yala, who is popular among music lovers in Chikanga, will entertain fun lovers in the ghetto with an assortment of music this weekend.

 

He is expected to provide musical therapy to home team, Acid Pool Club and their fans.
