All in place for Saturday’s by-elections

All is in place for by-elections that will be held tomorrow for two National Assembly and two council seats, the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (Zec) has said.

The by-elections will be held in Gutu East and Insiza North constituencies, Ward 5 Chipinge RDC and Binga RDC.

Speaking at a press conference this afternoon, ZEC deputy chairperson Ambassador Rodney Kiwa said 62 260 ballot papers were printed for the four by-elections.

He highlighted that ZEC has set up135 polling stations for the by-elections.

“The commission encourages candidates, political parties and supporters to observe the code of conduct and maintain peace before, during and after the by elections,” said Ambassador Kiwa.
