All set for Easter Spin Fest

The event will go a gear up at the after-party at Arcadia Sports Club where DJs on rotation will be rocking the turntables.
Ladies who come before 10pm will enter free of charge.

But the highlight of the family fun day will be the car spinning show, featuring the doyen of car spinning, Fat Cat aka Isaac Mayor and his two sons — Maurice and Shannon — who have been spinning their BMWs for the last couple of months.

The three are expected to leave Arcadia Sports Club up in smoke during the show which is also known as the “burn out”. Isaac Mayor is not a newcomer when it comes to spinning. It’s more than a decade since he started out with his BMW 3 Series in 2000 which he later handed down to one of his sons.

Isaac Mayor is adored within the Arcadia community for his dexterity behind the wheels. Other spinners scheduled to take part include Fazzy L, a musician and one of the old skool spinners in Harare.

He has been showcasing his skills behind the wheels since 2008.
Another car spinner, Taku aka “Spin King of Drift”, will be rocking the crowds with some breathtaking skills behind the wheels. At 20, Taku has become one of the most sought-after car spinners in the capital.

Another top spinner to look forward to is Tawie as well as Anonymous Spin Kid.
Tawie will be featuring at the show for the first time. As part of the showcase, there is going to be an exhibit of BMW E39 V8 which will be taken for a spin.
According to organisers, the show is a must attend for those who love to braai, drink and enjoy music.

“The show brings together all the exciting activities from fun games for children, braai, drinks to car spinning and admission is only US$5.

“It will be a great day for a family outing because there is going to be tight security from Nobsec one of our sponsors including Factcat Motors, Allway Motors, Mix Masters and BGI Financial Services who providing insurance at the spin fest,” a spokesperson said.
