All is set for the inaugural Zimbabwe Models Workshop to be held tomorrow afternoon at the Zimbabwe German Society where models, fashionistas, stylist, designers and bloggers among others are expected to exchange notes.

Organisers have roped in stylist and image consultancy Marshal Maliuka to assist in the setting. Topics to be covered include Media, Red Carpet Spotlight, Grooming and Deportment, Fashion and Style, Photography and Pageants among others.

The workshop is being hosted by fashionista and blogger Lilian Madyara, affectionately known as Hollywood Lee. Some of the speakers include Brita Masalethulini, Charlene Kunira, Emily Kachote, Tare Munzara, Patience Muzanenhamo, Micheal Jacobsen and Shamiso Ruzvidzo among others.

In an interview, founder and director of the workshop, Tinotenda Mjoni said all is set for the event.

“Saturday is a big day in our modelling fraternity as we want to set the record straight on what needs to be done, where we are going wrong and how we can achieve our goals. We have engaged veterans of industry who will tackle the topics. The workshop will equip the models with knowledge while examining ways to enhance appreciation of the industry,” he said.

Mjoni said there is a lot of entertainment lined up apart from the workshop.

“We have some of the upcoming musicians and dancers who are set to ignite the place during breaks. They include Avary Nation, Ants Version Crew and Sofelaz.

“There will be some promotional material for participants courtesy of Oxygen Fitness.” He said they had chosen former Miss World Zimbabwe Tendai Hunda to be the model icon for the workshop.

“We are going to do a hair makeover courtesy of South African celebrity Vushlywave while Outre Sensational will talk about hair maintenance. Hunda is this year’s model icon for the workshop. We want to change some of the wrong perceptions about modelling,” he said.

He said modelling agencies representatives are expected to come and share their visions with the aspiring models and participants.
