All is set for Style Concierge fashion show where four African designers, among them three Zimbabweans and one Rwandese will showcase their collections this Friday at The Flame in Harare. The designers will combine various designs, tastes and styles of apparel for both men and women’s collections. In an interview, event coordinator Floyd Tarima said preparations for the event were at an advanced stage.

“This is our first show in Zimbabwe where four talented designers from different backgrounds have come together. We are almost done and we will meet as a team to complete our checklist,” said Floyd.

Designers who will showcase their designs are Noe eS by Nompumelelo samambgwa, Chenna neni by Ngoni Motsi, Zanorashe by Tatenda Chidzidzi and Bahia luz by Shadia from Rwanda. Floyd said the aim of the show was to unite different designers with unique skills to offer a variety of style.

“We aim to create an alternative Afropolitan fashion culture through innovative design and faster sustainable development by being globally competitive. The Style Concierge helps clients develop their personal style by offering full range of products and to be creative and innovative. We aim for product excellence and to continuously strive for the best,” he said.

One of the designers, Ngoni Motsi said he was ready for the show and promised to bring a fresh collection of designs.

“I am really excited, and also anxious. This is going to be Chenna Nenni’s first men’s collection. It is going to be nothing out of the norm as we are bringing new trends and a few fashion additions. We feel people, and especially men, should wear whatever they want to wear not only because it is what men should wear,” said Motsi.
