The show runs from August 11 to August 14 under the theme, “Embracing Total Empowerment through Smart Partnership and Increase production on the Land”. Show chairperson Mr Tinei Kundiona said they were expecting more than 60 exhibitors and 45 have already confirmed their participation.
“The preparations are going on well and we are happy with the response we are getting from the exhibitors.
“Invitation letters are doing the rounds and we are confident this will be a big event. Exhibitors from across the province are expected to showcase their products and winners will go to the national show in Harare,” he said.
He said more support should be given to both A1 and A2 farmers to boost agricultural production. Among the exhibitors are Elnor Investment and Public Service Medical Aid Society as well as all traditional exhibitors. Exhibitors are preparing their stands for the show. Mr Kundiona said this year, cattle and livestock would be among the major highlights. An array of entertainment activities is on the cards including live performance from Bethan Pasinawako and Jah Praise.
“We are charging US$2 per adult and US$1 for kids except on Saturday where our fee will increase to US$3 per adult and US$2 for kids,” Mr Kundiona said.
