UK-based singer, Ananya, has made a return with a new single titled Gone (forever) which was released last Friday.

The song, her first release this year, is off her forthcoming debut EP due for release later this year.

Fusing staccato guitar chords with her soulful vocal, Gone (forever)’s indie-pop production is stacked with melodic harmonies and playful lyrics.

In an interview with H- Metro, Ananya said:

Gone (forever) was inspired by a vivid dream about realising you are giving more than you receive and deciding to leave that situation with no hard feelings.”

Ananya, who has a number of singles revealed that she had no plans of an album yet, but is working on her debut EP.

“Basically this year I am concentrating on my music and studies, and hopefully more performances too.”

Asked why she hasn’t performed live in Zimbabwe, she said:

“I have done a couple of small performances here and there, but currently I am still studying. I am looking forward to doing more performances in Zimbabwe.”

Apart from music, the multi-talented Ananya is also into fashion design and recently co-founded non-profit organisation, The Nani Wellness Project, which focuses on raising awareness and providing help to those struggling with mental health issues in Zimbabwe.
