AFTER failing to set up his own recording studio last year, Andy Muridzo is hopeful that this will be a better year for him.

Speaking to H-Metro, Muridzo revealed that his goal is to produce quality music that will exceed expectations of his fans.

He is also still focused on setting up his own studio, Andy Muridzo Music (AMM) in Norton.

“It’s time to start pursuing my new year resolutions. One of my most important new year resolutions is to produce music that will exceed the expectations of my fans.

“I am now going to pursue plans to set up a studio at my farm in Norton where I believe there will be no disturbances once it’s up and running.

“The people constructing the studio have already commenced work at the site,” he said.

Muridzo said 2022 was hard for him as it was difficult to recover from the Covid-19 pandemic effects.

“The year had its difficulties which I believe were effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“We were coming from the Covid-19 induced lockdowns and when they were lifted, there was a significant shift in people’s lifestyles as people battled to fill gaps that were created by the lockdowns and music gigs fell off the priority list of people.

“Musical shows became a luxury in their lives and you could see it from event turnouts.

“Just like anyone else, I was affected by the Covid-19 induced lockdowns in terms of pursuing and achieving my goals. The pandemic came at a time when I had targeted setting up my own recording studio called Andy Muridzo Music (AMM),” he said.

Muridzo also hailed his fans for supporting him throughout his music journey.

“Over and above that, I will remain grateful to my fans for making me who I am today.

“I want to grow my fan base beyond our borders. It’s my wish to gain a market share on the international arena.

“Thank you so much for the unconditional support that you have given me from the very first time I got into the studio to date.”

Despite a few challenges, Muridzo ended 2022 by releasing the album titled Zunza.

“I provided my fans with an album with songs that were tailor made for them.

“I gave my fans Zunza album with 15 tracks and they love all the tracks,” he said.
